Bleu

Shambhala is not a band, but a concept (a little like the "Alan Parson's Project"). Its repertoire and style can be related to electronic music, ambient or lounge, though this a little restrictive, because Shambhala works both with "standard" (pop) and less formal formats.

Choice of the name "Shambhala" constitutes a light-hearted reference to Tibetan mythology which should not be taken literally, and implies no relationship with any "spiritual group" of the same name. Moreover, Shamhhala has no spiritual or political association, only a beautiful humanist conviction as its source of inspiration.

The "Bleu" project was born some years ago. Several demos were recorded between 1996 and 1997, followed by a basic recording in 1998. For various reasons recording was interrrupted, and then resumed intermittently as from March 2001. It was completed in June 2003.
